Ray and I (Kim) are making this our first event since we got our project, thanks to Bryan. I am so very excited to meet everyone and see more buggies. We aren't entering anything but want to cruise around with everyone. We have booked a site at Oakwood RV park with our trailer. Since this is the first event we'll be attending, is there anything we need to know? Anything besides normal camping gear that we need to bring? Have I mentioned how excited I am? ;)

Ray and Kim, glad to hear you will be camping at oakwood. We are in two of the premium spots. Maybe the park can get you near us. We will be coming in on Friday about noon.

That would be Great...got our confirmation today on our premium spot. I contacted Oakwood and they didn't recognize any names, they have a big grouping under the name of Judy, but that was all they could tell me. So I guess we play it by ear. :)

Karen and I have registered for the Fredericksburg event and this will be our first event with the club. Looking forward to meeting everyone but I will probably drive up on Saturday morning and stay over Saturday night. Are members of the club staying in any particular hotel? We are not campers and we do not have an RV.

We are excited...see you guys soon!

Thanks Bryan...we will enjoy that! We got the last room at the Peachtree Inn on Washington Street. BrianB was right...everything has filled up for the event. I am just glad to get work off and that my engine survived the attack after Scotty beamed that nut from the USS Enterprise into my no.1 cylinder!

We've gotten a fair amount of rain over the last few days, may help the wild flower season.
I wasn't expecting much before, but now there may be at least some color along the roads.

I know its a little early, but I really like the way that sounds... ABUNDANT SUNSHINE !!!!!

It was when I posted it. But it is early for sure. Today they are sayings Saturday is "considerable cloudiness"...
Maybe less frustrating to wait until Saturday morning and see if the windshield is wet.
Two more work weeks and I'm going to NRA 500 this weekend.

Without having to look it up, does anyone know where the Bluebonnet Cruise goes? I mean, how far is it, what's the route, how long does it take, are there any stops?

I want to do the Bluebonnet Cruise. I hope it is not too far and does have stops.

I am also interested in how you put a cup holder in your buggy and where...

I am just going to make something up. It is hard to cruise and hydrate in a buggy unless you tap into the cooler behind the front seat(right Bryan? )

Looks like it :D There is no one building a buggy right now to post there. Everyone's buggy is running great so no need to post in the tech section. Maybe I just spend more time surfing than in the garage or cruising.

Any buggy folks in town Friday evening please feel free to stop by the Oakwood rv campground around 7:00 to visit and enjoy a campfire. We can discuss a cruise destination for Saturday morning at that time. We will probably leave the campground about 10:15 or so on Saturday morning for a cruise.

I guess I'll miss out on the cruise. I should get to Fred-burg by around noon. We'll probably do German food for dinner in town. May stop by the campfire in the evening for a cold one.
