The USMC is sponsoring an annual show at the Pasadena Fair Grounds, in Pasadena TX, called "Toys for Tots Toy Run". It is basically a motorcycle event with a MC cruise included, but the Bay Area VW Club (BAVWC) has advised that the event includes a VW car show as well. The following is cut from the city calender website;

Additional information: Bikes will meet at Walter Hall Park in League City with stands “up” at
10:30am. Ride ends at Campbell Hall. Activities at the Fairgrounds include color guard,
motorcycle show, bike field events, chili cook-off, live music, kid’s zone with Santa and his

Something for the Houston area guys to think about for a winter show. I know it is close to Christmas, but I thought I would let you guys know. I will be trying to attend and I will get more info at the Thursday BAVWC meeting.

It was cold today at the Toys for Tots event in Pasadena, but it was fun anyway. Lots of motorcycles, 4X4 Jeeps and trucks, VW Beetles and buses, and a couple of totally different buggies. There was a steel buggy that looked a lot like a big-rig truck tractor and there was one that was built into a Hummer, functioning machine gun included.
