Low and Slow

Got things put back together today

Buggy sat too high up front

So I pulled the beam

Had to make an adjustment to allow me to narrow it while putting in adjusters

And welded it all back up. The new chrome tie rods were shorter than the originals and had enough threads I didn't have to cut them. Got the alignment dead on, it tracks a straight line with no hands on the wheel. I can go lower, but it hits the leading edge of the fender right under the headlight when I turn hard either direction. I can modify that edge and go lower, but I'll wait until I get the new 4 inch wide Mickeys up front before I do.

Been out driving around in the rain this afternoon :D

How close do the shocks come to the tie rods when you turn sharp.

Plenty of clearance on the shocks. Only issue I have is if I turn all the way to the right the inside edge of the passenger tire will rub the tub. Not the other way though. Is there a way to make a stop so it won't go that far?

Add a bigger motor and drift around the corners instead of using the steering wheel

OEM beams have adjustable steering stops on the beam near the box. Anything on your old one that can be transferred?
