Just thought Id say "HI"....

My name is Steve Tyo. My family and I live in San Antonio. I just heard about the club, and am intersted in attending some of the shows, ETC. I have a manx that I have been working on for a while, and would love to get to know a few other people in the Texas area. I was looking in the club members pics, and you guys have some sweet rides! So far I get alot of strange looks here in SA when I am driving down the street, is that normal for the Manx?

Look forward to meeting everyone, Steve0we

Welcome to the group, Steve.
There should be several of us at the VW Classic in Fredricksburg April 21 & 22, and then of course, the Buggy Blast in Salado in May needs to be a "must do" for you.
There is a really nice buggy being built in your area by "Staggerwing" who is in Seguin.
I'm in Rosenberg, but come to the Hill Country a good bit for crusin' my buggy.
I think the strange looks you are getting are really admiration and appreciation. Everywhere I go in my Buggy I get "thumbs up" and smiles because I think young and old alike have never lost their love affair with dune buggies.

When I get a chance, I will post up a few of the other projects we have going on.

The body was from MGM plastics out of southern California. Not sure on the shipping, I actually picked it up from MGM with a trailer.
As far as the Aarm setup, I have done a few in house, but this one was designed by a friend out of california. We have a couple of ne projects with Aarm setups at my shop now. I will post a few pics of that stuff when I get a chance as well.

If I can help out in any way, let me know......
