Transmission /engine mount

Postby Buzzfagan » 12 Tue Apr, 2016 9:39 pm

Can you all tell me what I should do to the rear of this transmission before I mount the engine. Sandblast, clean with water, lubricate, etc?? I am a real newbie.

Also. What bolts and where do you get them to mount the engine?

knowing your location would help us guide you to a shop that has or can get the needed parts.

Doug at Qualitat in Grand Prairie is great. Not sure about other areas other than a mail order house.

Looks like it just needs a good cleaning. Don't think I'd sandblast it, elbow grease, degreaser and water will work. And other than the input shaft at the trans itself,
nothing there should need lubrication.
