SAFETY LESSON OF THE DAY!!
This is why we should always check the fittings on our torch rigs before we light up. My dumb a** was in a hurry and lit up without checking. Flashback from loose fitting on handle gave me this sweet 2nd degree burn. Was wearing gloves, unfortunately they were the rubber faced, cloth backed type. Thank goodness I got it off before it melted to my palm. Just thought I would share with the group and tell everyone to please be careful!!!

holy sheeyat, that's not a burn, that's where an ALIEN IS GROWING!

Now, go to the doctor and treat it for infection and scarring, etc.
you must have pride....in your ride....

Hope your not right handed!
A man on my job had the hoses rupture just bellow the valves and got 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his belly. The worst part was that he was wearing a "under armour" tee shirt ( spandex ) that melted to his skin!

Like Ive been told before, If your stupid you've got to be tuff.

Not tring to be hard on you, I was told this after I hammered the end of one my fingers off.
Good luck on your recovery.
It's EASY.... if you know how.

Actually, yes I am right handed. But it's already feeling a lot better, still looks bad, though. Sad thing is, I am a plumber by trade and use a torch on a daily basis, just got lazy and overconfident....Lesson learned. Thanks for all the kind and honest words. If even one of you guys think of that pic before you fire up a torch, then it wasn't for nothin'.
