ROOFS

Postby KIM-P » 28 Sat Aug, 2010 10:51 am

The wife wants a roof on the Buggy because she burns easily. A roof just seems like too much trouble. Like getting in and out of the car or being able to see trafic lights when your the first in line.
Any coments or solutions to these problems will be helpful in our decision on a roof. THANKS
It's EASY.... if you know how.

1redbuggy has a fiberglass top on his buggy, he may be able to talk about getting in and out. I have a bikini top and have had no issues with it. To me it seems to give about the same amount of coverage from the sun as a full top does. But, the drivers right arm and passenger's left arm arm still out there for the sun with either top. It does give some nice shade for the old gray haired noggin though.

I have a sheet of 1/4" tinted plexi that I was going to be making a partial top out of. I also like the idea of the bikini top as it is easily removable and you can store it in the back when not needed. Check out the Sombrero top by Tijuana Customs on the Samba. I think they are $300+ though.
