Texas VW Classic (Sign ups now open)

Postby Faron » 17 Tue Jan, 2012 12:32 am

I am not sure if any one has seen it or not, but registration is open for The Texas VW Classic. I started to sign up, but it asked a couple questions that I do not know the answer to yet. Registration at this point is $20.00

I couldn't respond because... I do not have a name for my Buggy yet. (anyone have a suggestion( ?Third Try? ) At this point I am not 100% sure what color I want to paint it. (I keep going between a Blue, Texas Orange, and a Dark Purple.)

You can have orange now - I'm repainting mine. Might even still have enough paint to do another buggy.

Just so I don't go with the same purple as yours what brand & Color did you go with. Although the Purple I am thinking is REALLY close to black. I just do not want to go with a color that someone else has in the club, even if I am putting airbrushed graphics on it.

I really like the green Chevy is putting on the new cars now but I cant do it. I grew up around a bunch of Sprint Car/World of Outlaw drivers (Buddy Taylor's wife was one of my Mom's closest friends) and Green & Pink are "Bad luck colors for them. In addition to that I have had 2 green vehicles that prove it to me. Goofy I know but...... no more green cars for me.

You are repainting yours what color, you will let us know wont you? I just want to make sure that I don't go with a current members color if I can keep from it. LOL What made you decide to repaint yours, it is very good looking in the photos I have seen.
I am sure that I will just go to the paint store and figure out what color I will paint mine that day. The main color will not be very important as it will be a back up whatever I do with the graphics portion. I am a child of the 80's (born 1970) so I am sure there will be more checkerboards on it in places! I guess time will tell

My entire dorm room was black and white checkerboard. I wore black and white vans to prom

I'm going to paint mine purple just like Bryan's ;-)
