My current rides are a 1969 Meyers Towdster , which is currently under a slow restoration and the wifes toy ( our so she likes to think ) a 1977 Baja Kombi.
The Towdster
This photo was taken in 2004 and at that time it had a 2lt type 4 engine 1600 kombi box , king and link front end ( modified ) , IRS rear end obviosley with that box .

Its current state
As part of the long term rebuild it is now going to be running the following , a 2387cc type 1 engine with CB oval port heads 44 x 37.5 , engle w120 cam , twin 44 idf's and a custom 1" 5'8 extractor system plus 2" exhaust. With the extra power i am planing on now running a 1800 kombi box , everything else will be basicully staying the same just new or reconditioned and of coarse a new paint job which will be back to its original gel coat colour of Fusia.

The Kombi
This photo was taken in Dec 2007 , not long after we had purchased it , which probabley suggests that i should have stuck to buggies , but hey we all live an learn.
At this time it was powered by a pretty stock 2 lt type 4 with 1800 heads , had a 1600 gear box and apart from the suspension mods is pretty stock, but not for long said Mrs Westwoods boy.

Its current state
Not being able to help myself i have also pulled this bus apart and have been working on it solidley on weekends for the last 8 months .
It now runs a Subaru EG33 3.3lt fuel injected flat six and a 2lt 6 rib box with other mods to be finished including a full respray and new interior including the subaru climate control airconditioner / heater.

Anyway i better get back to the bus and repair some more rust work as i have a deadline of the 30th July to have it at one of our big Aussie VW meets.
Talk soon Andrew [/u]
