Is This a Crazy Idea?

Postby Faron » 11 Sun May, 2008 12:32 am

I was just watching Unique Whips. I hope you all know the show I am talking about. They were building a very cool Fiberglass dash for a Hearst Caddy Tony Stewart owned. I watched how they did it, and I don't see how this has got past all the Dune Buggy Guys. It was very cool, and it makes me want to change my mind on a couple of things. I did want to build a Off-Road Dune Buggy much like Aquamanxs Orange Buggy. But now I want to build a Street Buggy, so that I can work on my idea. Has anyone thought about building a custom dash for their Buggy? It is so early in this idea that my mind may change again! SIGH I cant wait to get started!!!
Am I crazy to want to build a Buggy that is not off-road here in the middle of the desert? All kinds of places to run a Off-Road Buggy?

I'll comment on the first part - I plan on building a custom fiberglass console that goes right up to the bottom of the dash. My wife has told me that going to Sonic is going to be a big part of this buggy's life, so I am planning a console with cup holders.
