Little more progress, lot ya can't see from the pictures but done. Here is the front windsheild surround welding back and almost finished, just a bit more "working it" to do.
Then a little quarter window work to get them just right! Going for the stock squasshed look, I think we are there fella's now to fill re-shape and make it look purdy!

Bottom of the oval is now fully welded in and ground down, no putty at all yet, should look pretty good once it gets to the final body work. Package tray may stay or may go, depends on power plant, if VW may loose it still for a tranny raise, we will see.

Well the front hinges are gone, just need filler pieces and without the door handles, no need for them any longer so filled they are! Next will be the safety pins in case we ever get in a major and the powered bear claws give up the powered stainless steel rods that are about 4" long should not. And both will be fully powered by the push of a button on the remote. Getting closer for body work, but still needs the door tops and a few minor details, just needed the doors to be hung to make sure all gaps look right.

Thanks Adam, your help on the 67 stuff has been very helpfull! See I just did away with the 67 door handles, I also did away with the 67 fenders and scored some 64 ones. I am really excited about it! I can't believe the wife talked me into taking on a long body project with all the others going on! I must be crazy!
