that first ride up and down the street is the best one ever
or at least the most exciting :shock:

glad to see you on the down hill side most never get that far.

once you get it running better go over every bolt one more time
youd be suprised about the one you left loose.

Actually, I had to take them apart and grind them down. Where I ended up putting them was perfectly flat, so I had to grind the arc out of the light housings to get it to fit.

Cory,
A couple of things. First, I like the e-brake on the right rear...I have one just like it. I've been thinking about staining it a nice dark maple color to cover the oil spots....but then the stains do give them character ;-)

The other thing is, Do you have your carb linkage disconnected? Is it a SCAT linkage? It looks like the arm to the passenger side is hanging too low at the pivot point behind the distributor.

Man you guys are good.

No the carb linkage is not hooked up on the passenger side, that is one of the bolts I found laying in the street.

Someone else noted that the pipes on the passenger side are discolored more than the drivers, true also. The right side is running hotter than the left, more compression on that side too. I'll probably have to rebuild it, but I was going to get it running and rule out all the other possibilities first.

And my ebrake is stained with fiberglass resin ;-)

I've got the little led lighted bolts for the plate. I also pu a pair under the dash as courtesy lights. Notsure on the plate yet probably right in the center

I like Brian's idea mount the plate on the pulley.

This guy had the plate mounted way up under the rear of the body.
Kinda asking for trouble, red car, big a$$ turbo hanging out the rear and a plate hidden under the body.

I got the little lights at walmart. They were like 3 bucks or so. Look in the pepboys section they work great as courtesy lights. A nice little dot right in the middle of the floor boards.

First thing I would check is if that right carb had a squirter tube that was dripping :shock:

Has anyone considered using one of these for the license plate? Im not sure where you would put it but sure might help hide it when the plate is not in use.... 8-)

Do you have a drawing of the wire harness? I am up to the point where I am plumbing the brakes and putting in the wires...I have only the most basic stuff in it and one of the universal turn signal/hazard lights switches. I have done enough wires done to turn on and run the engine but lights are not my strong point. Any help will be great...even a hand drawing would be good. Thanks
