Tail lights

Anyone ever consider going with something like this?

They are flush mount, from the back, basically you cut a hole just for the size of the lens and sand flush. Might be kind of cool 8-)

Those are pretty cool...

Since the back of my body is trimmed up so high I'm pretty limited on my choices.. thinking I'm going to have to have something mounted on an engine cage

You would probably have to use an electronic flasher as most LEDs don't have the required resistance to activate the standard flashers.

Out of curiousity, are flashers generally required equipment?

I think he means you cant use the traditional three pronged flasher relay.. since LED's have low resistance, they don't blink correctly..

As for hazzard lights.. My gut feeling is that you can probably get by without them. At least the places I've been inspected.. There was a checklist floating around somewhere...

You are right about the flasher
What I did was put a bulb in
the turn indacator light to
work the flasher.
